My blown work focuses complex designs on simple, elegant shapes. These designs are drawn out in glass powder, fused onto glass plates and then heated and rolled up to create bubbles from which my pieces are blown from. These pieces use patterns based on the heritages and traditional patterns of my youth. My favorite patterns to make are Maori tribal designs which remind me of the patterns I grew up with in New Zealand.
